Hello and welcome back to school! We are excited to get to know not only you, but your child as well. Having at-home support and an open line of communication is an essential part of a successful school year. We are thrilled to be starting this journey with your child.
Our mission and vision
At The Academy 1, our mission is to provide academic excellence in a Christ-centered environment. We envision a future where every child, regardless of their past academic or behavioral challenges, can achieve their full potential. We are dedicated to nurturing each student's unique abilities, fostering growth, and building confident, successful individuals.
Why we started The Academy 1
Our desire was simply to change the life of a child otherwise destined to fail due to behavioral or academic shortfalls. Since then, The Academy 1 has provided a structured yet nurturing academic environment. Many of these students were "at risk" for failure in the traditional school setting. The traditional school environment is often not meeting the needs of many "at-risk" youth. Statistics have shown that focusing more on the individual needs of the child increases their chances of achieving academic success and becoming positive, successful members of our community.
What makes us special
Many students admitted into The Academy 1 are no longer permitted to re-enter public schools or other private schools in our community. Others were not excelling academically in their previous schools for various reasons. We pride ourselves on offering a unique, supportive space where individual needs are met, ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive academically and personally. We are thrilled to be starting this school year journey with your child and look forward to watching them learn and grow.
